WHAT IS RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune and chronic inflammatory disorder. Where immune system attacks healthy cells or tissues in the body by mistake, causing painful swelling (inflammation ) in the affected parts of the body.

It mainly attacks the many joints at once such as hands, wrists, and knees joints. The joint's lining becomes inflamed, causing damage to joint tissue. This damage of the tissues can cause long-lasting or chronic pain, deformity and disequilibrium.
R. Arthritis may also affect other tissues throughout the body and cause problems in organs such as the lungs, heart, and eyes

Gender: In comparison to men, women are more likely to acquire rheumatoid arthritis.
Age: Rheumatoid arthritis can develop at any age, but the risk rises with advancing years. Adults in their sixties had the highest incidence of RA onset.
Inheritance: You may be more susceptible to developing rheumatoid arthritis if a family member does.
Obesity: Overweight people seem to have a slightly increased risk of rheumatoid arthritis.
Smoking: Smoking raises a person's likelihood of getting rheumatoid arthritis and can exacerbate the condition already present.
