WHAT IS THYROIDS

The term Thyroids is normally used to indicate disturbance of the function of thyroid glands. These glands are an endocrine which locates around the trachea (lower front portion of the throat). Above all the main function of Thyroid glands are to convert iodine into hormones i.e Thyroxine (T-4) and Triiodothyronine (T-3). As a result these hormones are so important in order to regulate all kind of body's functions or metabolism. For instance, the evolution of body tissues, energy, temperature and vitamins etc.

So the process of hormone synthesis begins in a part of the brain, called the Hypothalamus. It's main function is to link the nervous system to the endocrine system via the pituitary gland. When Hypothalamus releases the TRH to the pituitary gland, in response; the pituitary gland then releases TSH (i.e. thyrotropin) into the blood. Consequently TSH travels to the thyroid gland and stimulates this gland to produce the two hormones T4 and T3.

TYPES OF THYROIDS

A condition in which thyroid glands produces high amount of hormone is called Hypothyroidism. Likewise a condition in which thyroid glands produces low amount of hormone is called Hypothyroidism. Both conditions can be caused by other diseases that impact the way the thyroid gland works.

  • Hyperthyroidism can be caused by Graves' disease, Toxic adenomas, Pituitary gland malfunctions and Excessive iodine.
  • While Hypothyroidism can be caused by Hashimoto's thyroiditis, Postpartum thyroiditis, Iodine deficiency, Non-functioning thyroid gland, Thyroidectomy and Thyroiditis.

Ratio of Thyroid disorder is quite higher in women than in men. "This hormonal imbalance can cause weight gain or make it difficult to lose weight, even with vigorous exercise and the right diet," says Scott Isaacs, MD, medical director at Atlanta Endocrine Associates.

CAUSES OF THYROIDS

1- HYPERTHYROIDISM

Factors that causes hyperthyroidism are as follows;

  • Graves' disease: It is an autoimmune disorder in which an antibody causes the Thyroid Glands to make excessive amounts of thyroid hormone.
  • Toxic adenomas: Nodules develop in the thyroid gland and begin to secrete thyroid hormones, upsetting the body's chemical balance.
  • Excessive iodine: Presence of excessive amount of iodine in the body, thyroid gland make more thyroid hormones than it needs.
  • Pituitary gland malfunctions

2- HYP0THYROIDISM

Factors that causes hypothyroidism are as follows;

  • Hashimoto's thyroiditis: It is an autoimmune condition where the body's cells attack and damage the thyroid.
  • Iodine deficiency: Nodules develop in the thyroid gland and begin to secrete thyroid hormones, upsetting the body's chemical balance.
  • Thyroiditis: Inflammation of the thyroid that can lower the amount of hormones that thyroid produces.
  • Thyroidectomy: Removal of the thyroid glands.
  • Non-functioning thyroid gland: Sometimes, the thyroid gland doesn't work correctly from birth.
  • Drugs used in Epilepsy, chemotherapy, used to fight infection etc.

I was having nasty stomach pains for months and I tried every single doc in my city Peshawar but none helped to relieve my pain. One of my friend told me to try this homeopathic clinic in rwp.I checked out their website and gave them a call. The doc took the time to understand my symptoms even though it was just over the phone and figure out exactly what was going on. Didn't rush me at all like other docs.Doc prescribed some homeo medicines for me and had them delivered right to my door. They were super easy to take. The medicine tbey gave me was so gentle. I was worried it wouldn't work but sure enough, within a couple weeks the pain was way better. A few more weeks and it was completely gone! I'm totally healed up now thanks to this doc. I'd highly recommend consulting with them virtually if you're looking for natural healing. Five stars for saving me from this stomach issue!
